Privacy Policy
1. The short version
We collect as little as possible. We don't sell your data, we don't run ads, and your videos are processed for the sole purpose of making your clips.
2. What we collect
- Account: your email address, and — if you choose phone sign-in — your phone number, used solely to send a one-time sign-in code (delivered via Twilio). We never send marketing texts.
- Billing: subscriptions are processed by Stripe, who handle your card details directly. We receive only your email, plan and subscription status. We never see or store full card numbers.
- Google sign-in: if you use it, Google shares your email address and basic profile with us. We request nothing else and never post on your behalf.
- Waitlist: if you join it, we store the email and optional handle you provide (hosted on Supabase), used only to contact you about Shareef Clips.
- Local data: your studio preferences — looks, creator workspaces, history — are stored in your browser's local storage on your own device.
- Video content: media you submit is processed to produce clips. Audio transcripts are sent to our transcription and AI providers (e.g. Deepgram, Anthropic) strictly to generate captions, titles and clip decisions, under those providers' data policies.
3. What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent personal data.
- We don't use your videos to train our own models.
- We don't run third-party advertising or tracking pixels.
4. Who we share data with
Only the processors needed to run the product: Supabase (accounts), Stripe (payments), Twilio (sign-in codes), Railway (hosting), Deepgram and Anthropic (transcription and AI, for your media only). We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone, and there is no advertising on the Service.
5. Retention
Source media and rendered clips are kept only as long as needed to deliver the Service, and are deleted on request. Waitlist emails are kept until you ask us to remove them.
6. Your choices
Email support@shareefclips.com to access, export or delete your data — including removal from the waitlist. Clearing your browser storage removes all local studio data immediately.
7. Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
8. Changes
If we add hosted processing or new data uses, this policy is updated first and the date above changes.
